Descriptions of Land Classes

Arthritis Foundation Tai Chi:

Sun style Tai Chi including agile steps that improve mobility, breathing and relaxation. Easier to learn form of Tai Chi because there is no squatting or deep bending.

SilverSneakers® Cardio Circuit:

Combine fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, head to toe stretching, and complete relaxation in a comfortable position.

SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength & Range of Movement:

Have fun and move through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

SilverSneakers® Yoga Stretch:

Yoga Stretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercise and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity

Stability Ball:

A total body conditioning class that helps to improve balance and coordination.

Step:

A moderate intensity, high impact step class.

ZumbaGold®:

Provided by CareLink and designed for those 60 years and over. ZumbaGold® is a series of fitness classes specifically designed to take the excited Latin and International dance rhythms created in the original Zumba® and bring them to the active, older adult. Created to emphasize the basics, this explosive program is so easy to follow. It is fun, different, easy and effective. It can also be done from a chair.
